Volunteer Opportunities

Historic Homes Docent - Lead guests through the historic homes while sharing the family’s story accurately and enthusiastically. Assist in preservation of the artifacts by ensuring guests follow the material culture guidelines.
School Programs Lead - Deliver clear and engaging historical content to elementary school children. Assist in teaching students through hands-on activities as they learn about the past.
Front Desk - Assist Office Manager by welcoming visitors and answering incoming calls, providing information and directing visitors to appropriate resources, route calls, and take messages.
Special Events Assistant - Help with storytelling, craft activities, logistics, etc. during special events such as Texian Market Days, Candlelight Tours, Lone Star Stomp, All Hallows Eve, and more.
Project Volunteer - Assist in various projects that occasionally arise at the museum. This could be helping in clerical work, maintenance projects, and repair work. Assist in organization, acquisition, and preparation of library materials and information.
