The Fort Bend Museum Presents:
Summer History
July 2024
This year, we celebrate diversity by highlighting some of the first settlers whose culture influenced Fort Bend County. With a specific focus on Indigenous peoples of Texas, Africa, Czechoslovakia, and Germany, each week will include an informational area and exhibit to guide visitors through their culture along with a hands on activity. Summer History is a free addition to Fort Bend Museum’s regular admission prices.

Join us each week as we provide space to connect with the community and celebrate Native Americans, Africa, Czechoslovakia, and Germany, four cultures whose rich traditions are part of what makes Fort Bend the unique county that it is. Summer History and the Festival of Cultures are for all ages, although most activities are suited for 5 & up. Bring your lunch to enjoy at our picnic tables or on our lawn after exploring the museum.
