Health & Safety at the Fort Bend Museum

The Fort Bend Museum is offering historic home tours of the 1883 Moore Home and 1850s Long-Smith Cottage! (Note that the gallery is closed due to the History Rising renovation.)

Your health and safety are our top priority, so social distancing and additional health and safety precautions are in place. Here’s what you need to know before you come:

Masks are Mandatory

All guests ages 10 and up are required to wear a mask. Staff members and volunteers are also required to wear masks.

Maintain Social Distancing

You should maintain at least 6 feet of distance between you and other guests. We will be operating at 25% capacity to help ensure proper social distancing.

Purchase Tickets Online

Please purchase your tickets online by clicking here. As part of the phased re-opening, we will only offer tickets for the next two weeks at a time.

Available Tour Times: 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
 
Tour times must be booked in advance.
​Due to house capacity, family groups should not exceed 6 people.

Increased Sanitation

We have implemented hand sanitizing stations throughout the Moore Home property and have instituted heightened cleaning protocols at each site.

If you don't feel comfortable returning to the Moore Home yet, rest assured that our staff is continuing to develop and expand history-based content on social media! We hope you'll discover fun, interesting and inspiring content via Facebook and Instagram.
