Why do we decorate the Moore Home every October?
Congressman John and Lottie Moore's eldest daughter, Ivy Moore Morrison, enjoyed Halloween so much that she hosted a Halloween party on the Moore Home grounds for the neighborhood children for many years. To pay homage to her love of the season, staff and docents decorate the 1st floor of the Moore Home in a different theme each year. All evening ghost tours include a viewing of the Moore Home. This year's theme is "Gothic Tales."
