– El presidente Andrew Jackson firmó el Indian Removal Act ( Ley de expulsión de indios)

– Peter Cooper compitió con su locomotora de vapor, el Tom Thumb, contra un caballo.

– Cyrus McCormick, un herrero de Virginia, hizo una demostración de una segadora mecánica que revolucionaría la agricultura en los Estados Unidos.
