The nearby San Felipe State Historic Site and Stephen F. Austin State Park are open daily.  The Stephen F. Austin Park Association operates the Josey Store Museum, which is located on the San Felipe State Historic Site, and is open weekend afternoons and by appointment.

The archeological excavations are being conducted on private land that is not generally open to the public.  Several public tours are offered of the excavations during the year.  The next opportunity to visit the excavations will be during the "Father of Texas Day Celebration" hosted by the Stephen F. Austin Park Association.

Tours of the historic site, living history demonstrations, archeological demonstrations and hands-on children's activities will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 3rd and 4th, 2006.  The programs begin at 9:00 a.m. daily and close at 5:00 p.m.  For more information, contact Florence Sims at (979) 885-3043 or the Sealy Chamber of Commerce (979) 885-3222.
