The Fort Bend County Museum Association serves as fiscal agent and
managing partner of a consortium of six organizations that are working to
excavate and preserve the archeology of San Felipe de Austin. Located
in Austin County, San Felipe served as the capital of Stephen F. Austin's
Texas Colony of the 1820s and 1830. Click on the links to the left to learn
more about the project. We welcome people to come involved with this
effort through volunteer efforts and financial contributions.
Please help us preserve this important part of Texas' history.
