The mission of the Fort Bend Museum Association is to preserve and interpret the regional history of the fort Bend County area, with particular emphasis on the settlement and impact of Austin's Colony.  The Museum Association's primary exhibits and collections focus on the following:

1.  Fort Bend Museum:  Austin's Colony, 1821-1836, and Fort Bend County History, 1837-1940

2.  Long-Smith Cottage: Richmond city lifestyles, 1840-1860

3.  Moore Home:  Moore family history, 1883-1975

4.  George Ranch Historical Park:  family history, multi-cultural workforce, and livestock traditions of the George Ranch, 1824-1971
