If you can't visit the Fort Bend Museum, let the Museum visit you. Our Outreach Educational Programs are available to visit your school or youth group.
Pioneer Presentation: This program will spark your students' imaginations. Let an experienced spinner show your students how to gin and card cotton and how to spin it into yarn. The program can be presented individually, or as part of an entire day of "pioneer" events. The cost is $75 per half day, or three hours. Email Claire Rogers for more information and availability, or call (281) 342-6478.
Pioneer Traveling Trunk: Rent our Pioneer Trunk for a week and explore pioneer times with your students at your own pace. This interactive hands-on program includes artifacts and teaching materials for pioneer Texas (1821-1836) that will enhance and reinforce social studies curricula. The trunk includes information about each item and suggestions for starting stimulation discussions with your students. The cost to rent the Pioneer Traveling Trunk is just $25 per week. Email Claire Rogers for more information or call (281) 342-6478.
Texian Time Machine: The Texian Time Machine is a museum-quality outreach program that brings history to life on your campus through hands-on activities presented by experienced, costumed presenters. For details, check out the Texian Time Machine information page.
