Working together, we can preserve Texas history, inspire learners of all ages and strengthen our sense of community.

The DeWalt Heritage Society has been formed as an auxiliary of the Fort Bend County Museum Association to support the restoration of the Dew House and preserve the history of the Missouri City area. 

By joining the Fort Bend County Museum Association, you become part of the DeWalt Heritage Society as well as our other facilities:

Fort Bend Museum
Preserving and sharing Fort Bend County's history through museum exhibits, historic homes and educational programs and activities.

George Ranch Historical Park
Houston's premier living history museum preserves and shares more than a century of Texas ranching heritage through daily programs that bring 1830s, 1860s, 1890s and 1930s history to life. The George Ranch Historical Park is a partnership between the Fort Bend Museum Association and The George Foundation.

Richmond Historic District
The Richmond Historic District is dedicated to preserving and protecting Richmond's rich architectural heritage. More than 30 buildings and sites define the historic district.

 

Membership levels:

The Colonist ($50/year)

  • Free admission for two (2) individuals to the Fort Bend Museum, George Ranch Historical Park and Texian Market Days Festival.


  • 10% discount on all purchases in the Fort Bend Museum's Old Magnolia Gift Shop as well as the George Ranch Historical Park's Dry Creek Gift Shop and Dinner Belle Cafe.


  • Invitations to special events.


  • Subscription to the Texian Gazette, the Fort Bend Museum Association's quarterly newsletter, and the Texian Footnotes, the Association's monthly update.


The Texian ($100 per year)
Colonist benefits, plus free admission for two
additional individuals (for a total of four) to the Fort Bend Museum, George Ranch Historical Park and Texian Market Days Festival.

The Empresario ($2500)
A lifetime of Texian benefits for a one-time contribution.
Membership at the Empresario level supports the Fort Bend Museum Association's Endowment Fund. The interest from your contribution helps fund the Museum Association's operations.
